Visitor FAQs


Q. Who can attend M&E – The Building Services Event 2010?

A. Anyone in the trade. M&E is a purely trade event and NOT open to the public. You will need to bring identification of trade status.

Q. When will I receive my visitor badge?

A. Your badge URN will be sent via email approximately two weeks prior to the event. Alternatively it is available for collection onsite.

Q. What should I do if the details on my badge are incorrect?

A. When you arrive onsite, the badge query desk can amend any details and print off a revised version of your badge.

Q. What if I have forgotten my e-badge URN when I arrive at the event?

A. Just go to the registration desks located at the entrances and give the staff your name, they will locate your details on the computer and issue you with a badge.

Q. As a visitor to M&E 2010, do I have access to any other co-located shows?

A. Yes, you will be able to visit co-located shows Energy Solutions, Total Workplace Management and The Care Show, London.

Q. Can I register on-site?

A. Yes, but there is a £30 fee and if you have not pre-registered you will not receive a show preview prior to the event.

Q. Does my badge enable me to return to the show on another day or would I need to register again.

A. No, once you have received your badge you can return to any of the shows as many times as you wish!

Q. What happens if I don't receive my e-badge before the show?

A.  In the unlikely event that you don't receive your e-badge URN don't worry! You will receive an email the week before which will contain your unique reference number. Simply print off this email and bring it with you to the show where we will print you another badge. If you forget to print the email, just give your name at the registration desk and we will manually search for your details in order to print another badge.

Q. How much does it cost to enter the exhibition?

A. Entry into the exhibition is free of charge if you pre-register or £30 if you register onsite at Olympia.

Q. Is there parking at the venue?

A. Yes for further information please visit the Earls Court and Olympia website.

Q. Can I bring children?

A. Children are not permitted to attend the exhibition.

Q. I am a student, am I able to attend the event?

A. Students are permitted entry to M&E 2010 via prior arrangement only. Please email Alexandra Morris at alexandra.morris@ubm.com for further information and guidelines.

Q. What time do the doors open?

A. The halls open for visitors at 9am on both Wednesday and Thursday*. Please refer to the Getting There page for full details of show opening hours and how to get London Olympia.

Q. Where can I eat?

A. Themed cafés serving light snacks and refreshments can be found within the halls alongside numerous bars, restaurants and seating areas offering anything from a quick drink to a more substantial meal.

Q. Can I smoke at Olympia?

A. No, Olympia is a strictly non-smoking venue.
